Ever have a resource show up ready to work, but they can’t actually do anything? The work is scheduled, but access isn’t ready. The materials are on site, but no one knows where they are. Or a key decision is still pending.
This isn’t a resource problem. It’s a readiness problem.
Work is only ready when everything is in place
Inputs, dependencies, access, decisions, and environment must be in place so the resource can begin immediately and execute without interruption.
If it’s not ready, don’t schedule it.
